:woman_astronaut: Getting Started - Step by Step

Let’s start by creating an account. Log into dsa.instadapp.io with your Ethereum wallet. We recommend using a wallet where you can manage the private key such as Metamask or Trust Wallet.

Find the accounts dropdown and click New Account

Wait for on-chain wallet creation
DSA is an ethereum smart contract wallet this means you create the wallet on-chain; you can click the transaction pop-up to be taken to Etherscan where you can verify when the wallet has been confirmed.

Select your new DSA account
If you reload the page before the wallet is created; the GUI will ask you to create another wallet. Please wait for your transaction to confirm.

After the wallet creation transaction has confirmed; refresh the page and find your account in the dropdown. If you have multiple accounts they will all appear here.

Review your Account details
The wallet that created Defi Smart Account becomes the account’s owner; only owners can withdraw and interact with the account. Please review the left panel to see the details of your account.

Account Information

The leftmost panel displays your accounts assets and liabilities; for getting started lets take a look at the three underlined UI elements.

:man_in_tuxedo: Owners
This lists the accounts that can access and execute commands with this DSA wallet; you can add additional owners; owners currently receive FULL ACCESS to the account.

:1234: Account ID
This is the Defi Smart Account number that is generated when you create the account; you can use this to refer to your account.

:mailbox: Account Address
This is the Ethereum address of your new Defi Smart Account; you can always deposit into the account but remember only owners can withdraw from the account.

Wait, the dashboard doesn’t see my assets!
The assets in the owner wallet (the wallet that created the DSA) are not visible in the InstaDapp dashboard. The dashboad located at dsa.instadapp.io only reads assets in the DSA.

Deposit Assets to your DSA
The DSA is a new address and you need to deposit assets before you can use the built-in dashboards for Dapps. You can deposit assets directly into the account by depositing into its ethereum address or you can use the dashboard by clicking deposit.

You can now begin using the different DeFi dashboards. Deposit assets to gain interest by depositing into Compound or Curve; or take a loan from MakerDAO.
